In this series I have collaged thousands of small pieces of a playing card game called Magic: The Gathering. The game is filled with angels, monsters, sorcery, wizards, barbarians, spells, enchantments, and more. This was a game I came back to a lot in my childhood and had even made friends with others who had collected and played with me. Years later, I realize what is actually magical: Nature. Using these “magic” cards I create abstract images of the natural world.
